The things we learned about Erich’s and Ellen’s story in America are really endearing. They made wonderful memories with their grandchildren.
They handed down traditions but not hate. Their grandchildren appreciated their lessons and their love. Erich and Ellen are the largest group of people who escaped after the full extent of the Holocaust began.
Survival was not the only thing they accomplished, they brought a legacy of persistent and determination to the generations that followed.
